Permanent Roofline Lighting in Saratoga Springs, Installed to Last

We install permanent exterior lighting that lives quietly along your roofline all year and comes alive from an app on your phone. Each run is mounted with care for your fascia, soffits and gutters, so the house is protected as well as lit. We work in Saratoga Springs, Malta and Ballston Spa.

About Our Company

We are a lighting contractor focused on one thing: permanent exterior lighting for homes in and around Saratoga Springs. That focus lets us spend our attention where it matters, on careful measurement, clean mounting and a finish that suits the house.

Our approach is built on long-term care. Snow, ice and freeze-thaw cycles are hard on rooflines here, so we treat the trim and gutters as part of the job, not just a place to hang lights. A system that is planned well and mounted on sound material should give you many seasons of use without climbing a ladder every November.

Permanent Lighting for Your Home Exterior

Our work is permanent exterior lighting installation: a slim track along the roofline, LED lights set into it, and a controller you run from your phone. We are licensed and insured, and we are an Authorized Gemstone Lights installer, so the system on your house is one we know well from the first measurement to the final app setup. The track is painted to blend with your trim, which means that in daylight most neighbors will not notice it at all. At night you choose warm white for everyday curb appeal, or color and motion for the holidays, a game night or a birthday.

  • Permanent Lighting

Low-profile permanent lighting fastened along your roofline, app-controlled for every season, and installed so your fascia and gutters stay sound.

  • Exterior Soft Wash

Low-pressure wash of siding, trim and walls that clears mildew and algae without stripping paint.

  • Roof Treatments

A low-pressure treatment that stops black streaks, moss and lichen from slowly wearing down your shingles, with a follow-up plan to keep them in check.

  • Gutter Care

Gutters cleared by hand, downspouts flushed and hangers checked, so water leaves the roof the way it should and the fascia stays sound.

  • Glass & Screen Care

Hand-cleaned exterior glass, screens, frames and tracks, on a schedule that keeps mineral buildup from bonding to your windows.

  • Hardscape Care

Careful cleaning of concrete, pavers and stone that lifts grime, salt residue and organic growth without scarring the surface.

What Goes Into the Price of Permanent Lighting

We measure and price each home separately. The biggest drivers are the amount of roofline and how much effort it takes to reach it safely. These are the things we weigh when we write up your quote.

Before we give you a number, we measure the house and go over your options with you. The quote costs nothing, and it is laid out so you can compare it item by item.

Amount of roofline
Total feet of track and lights matter more than anything else. Some people light the whole perimeter, while others light just the side of the house facing the street.
Height, slope and reach
A one-story ranch goes faster than a tall three-story Victorian with steep gables. Upper peaks, dormers and narrow side yards add time and call for more careful ladder work.
Corners and gables
Every turn in the roofline gets its own cut and joint so it looks clean. A house with lots of gables and returns takes more time than a single straight run.
Where the track mounts
Depending on the house, track may go on the fascia, under the soffit edge or along the gutter line. What that surface is made of and how sound it is changes the mounting method and the time involved.
Controller spot and power
The controller needs a working outlet close by. If none sits in a good place, the added power work appears as a separate line on your quote.
Layout and zones
Dividing the house into zones, like the front and the garage, takes a bit more hardware and gives you much more say over your scenes.

Why Homeowners Choose Us

Lighting a house should never cost you the trim it hangs on. We plan every installation around the long life of the materials already on your home.

  1. 01

We look at the trim before we light it

Before we quote, we check the fascia, soffit and gutter edge where the track will go. If a board is soft or a gutter is pulling away, we tell you and show you, so it can be dealt with first instead of hidden behind new lights.

  2. 02

    Mounting that respects your house

We choose fasteners and placement for the surface we are working on, and we keep penetrations few and tidy. The goal is a run that sits straight for years and comes off cleanly if you ever reroof or replace gutters.

  3. 03

A finish that disappears by day

We match the track color to your trim and follow the line of the roof closely. Joints are kept tight and wire runs are tucked out of sight, so the house looks like itself until the lights come on.

  4. 04

Set up so you actually use it

We do not leave after the last clip goes in. We set your zones and favorite scenes in the app with you, and make sure you know how to change a schedule or switch to a holiday pattern on your own.

  5. 05

    A quote you can read

Your free quote lists the footage, the controller and any extra power work in plain terms. You know what you are paying for before anything goes on the roof.

Questions Homeowners Ask

Something not covered here? (518) 757-9353

Will the installation damage my roof or gutters?

We mount the track to trim or the gutter line, not through roofing shingles. Fastener placement is chosen for the surface, and we keep holes minimal and sealed. Before we start, we check that the boards and gutters are sound, because mounting on rotten wood is how damage happens.

Can I see the lights during the day?

Very little. The track is slim and color-matched to your trim, and it follows the roofline closely. From the street it reads as part of the house rather than a string of bulbs.

How do the lights handle snow and winter cold?

The system is designed to stay up year-round, and the track sits tight to the house where it is sheltered from much of the weather. When we plan the layout, we think about where snow slides and ice builds along your roofline so the run is placed sensibly for winter.

What if I replace my roof or gutters in a few years?

The track is mounted so it can come off cleanly and go back up afterward. If a new roof or new gutters are already on your calendar, mention it when you call. It is often wiser to schedule the lighting after that work, and we would rather tell you that than install twice.

What can I control from the app?

You can turn the lights on and off, set schedules, pick warm white or colors, and choose patterns and motion. Separate zones let you light just the front or the whole house. You can save scenes for holidays and switch between them in a few taps.

Do I need a new outlet for the controller?

Often an existing exterior or garage outlet works well. During the walkthrough we look for the right spot, and if new power is needed we list it separately on your quote so nothing comes as a surprise.

How long does installation take?

It depends on the length of the roofline, the height of the house and how many peaks and corners it has. We give you a realistic expectation with your quote, and we finish with app setup and cleanup before we leave.

How an Installation Runs

Most of the care happens before installation day. Here is what to expect from your first call onward.

  1. 1

A call for your free quote

Tell us about your house and what you have in mind. We ask a few questions about the roofline, the number of stories and where you would like the lights to show.

  2. 2

We walk the home and measure

We measure each run, check the trim and gutters for soundness, and find the best place for the controller and power. If something needs repair first, you will hear it from us plainly.

  3. 3

    Your written quote

You get a clear quote with footage, track color and any added power work. There is no pressure to decide on the spot.

  4. 4

    Installation day

We protect plantings and walkways, mount the track, set the lights and route the wiring out of sight. Before we leave, we pick up offcuts and packaging so the yard looks the way we found it.

  5. 5

    App setup and walkthrough

We connect the controller, build your everyday and holiday scenes, and show you how to adjust them. You leave the evening knowing how to run your own lights.
